Ford is committed to acting responsibly in the interests of our shareholders, and that includes accountability for our wider impact on the world around us. We integrate sustainability into everything we do.

  • In the U.S. to date, we have sold more than 600,000 electrified vehicles including hybrid, plug-in hybrid and full battery electric powertrains. We are investing $4.5 billion in electrified vehicle solutions, adding 13 new electrified vehicles to our global portfolio within the next five years
  • We are the only North American consumer discretionary company to earn CDP’s highest honor for corporate water stewardship. We reduced our manufacturing CO2 emissions by 26.5 percent per vehicle produced between 2010 and 2015, and our average energy use by 25 percent
  • We trained or retrained 3,156 total supplier sites in sustainability management since 2005
  • We celebrated the 10-year anniversary of the Ford Volunteers Corps in 2016. Since 2005, more than 265,000 Ford volunteer participants have provided more than 1.2 million hours of work on 11,325 global community service projects in 48 countries
  • We launched Thirty Under 30, a program dedicated to developing the next generation of philanthropic leaders within the company
  • Each June, we release our Sustainability Report, which details our performance and progress toward our sustainability and corporate responsibility goals
